This full day tour will take you to Foshan, located 15 miles southwest of Guangzhou. Three Buddha statues carved into a local hillside (Foshan means “Buddha Hill”) made this city a prominent Buddhist pilgrimage site during the Tang Dynasty. Today, Foshan is a well-known handicraft center, famous for its Shiwan pottery, beautiful textiles and fine silk. Your first stop will be the enormous Nanfeng Kiln located in nearby Shiwan, the hometown of Guangdong pottery and porcelain. After your visit in Shiwan, you will drive to Foshan and the ornate Ancestral Temple, Zu Miao, originally built during the North Song Dynasty (960-1127) and rebuilt in 1372 during the Ming Dynasty. Constructed entirely of interlocking wooden beams, this elaborate structure is one of the largest Taoist Temples in China, uniting ancient art forms and materials: wood, brick, stones, ceramics and bronze. Following lunch at a local restaurant, you will stop at the elegant and tranquil Liang’s Gardens, a typical scholar’s garden constructed over 200 years ago. Your last stop will be Lingnan xie tiandi, Foshan Lingnan Xintiandi is a comprehensive commercial district integrating culture, tourism, shopping, dining, and entertainment, located in Zumiao Street.After your intriguing day in Foshan, you will return to Guangzhou.

This full-day tour will introduce you to some of Guangzhou’s most popular sites. Our first stop will be the exquisite Chen Jia Ci, or Chen Family Academy. Built in the 1890s to worship and honor the Chen ancestors, the large estate is made up of traditional South China-style buildings. The Six Banyan Temple, Guangzhou’s premiere Buddhist cultural site will be your next stop. Built over 1,400 years ago, the banyan trees are gone, but the elegant octagonal Hua Ta Pagoda still towers over the temple grounds. And you could experience the local herb culture in Qingping market and Western Building Culture in Shamian Island. After enjoying a traditional Cantonese lunch, you will proceed to Yuexiu Park in the afternoon. Your last stop will be Canton Tower, famed for its unique structure and height, a great bird eye view of the New Canton will be breathtaking! Following a free walking in Huacheng Square in downtown, you will return to Hotel. Then free of your own until transfer to the airport for your flight exit.
