Arriving in Shanghai at 05:30, we'll explore the morning charm of the Bund. This iconic waterfront area features 52 diverse buildings, showcasing various architectural styles and creating a stunning skyline. Next, we'll visit Tianzi Fang, a trendy district known for its creative industries and artistic vibe. It's a must-see spot transformed from traditional Shikumen architecture. Shikumen houses, a blend of Western and traditional Chinese elements, represent Shanghai's unique residential style. Then, we'll explore Yu Garden, a classical garden from the Ming Dynasty. With its well-designed layout, ancient trees, and beautiful pavilions, it's a picturesque oasis.Don't miss the World Cultural Heritage Art Exhibition Center, where we can appreciate the treasures of world heritage. In the afternoon, we'll return to the hotel for rest (dinner not included).

Coach to Suzhou, a garden city. We'll visit the renowned Wangshi Garden, a classical private garden in China. We'll also have the opportunity to explore the Suzhou Silk Factory and learn about the intricate art of silk production. In the afternoon, we'll visit the famous Shuangta Vegetable Market, a popular spot known for its charming old-world atmosphere and clean market environment. As the evening sets in, we'll scroll along Shantang Street, immersing ourselves in the traditional waterside lifestyle of Suzhou.

After taking the high-speed train to Wuxi, your luggage will be transported by the coach to Wuxi. Upon arrival, you can take the subway to Nan Chan Temple Station. From there, you'll explore Nan Chang Street and take a boat ride along the ancient Grand Canal.Nan Chang Street is a historical and cultural district known for its famous Qingming Bridge. It's a typical Jiangnan water town situated by the Grand Canal, often hailed as a "unique water neighborhood of Jiangnan and a rare spot along the Grand Canal." (Lunch will be arranged with Wonton and Xiaolongbao). Afterward, you'll join the tour coach and continue your journey to visit the Three Kingdoms City on Taihu Lake. After dinner, you'll return to the hotel.

After breakfast, we'll visit the Pearl Exhibition Center for a fascinating showcase of pearls. Then, we'll proceed to Tongxiang and explore the picturesque town of Puyuan. Known for its fashionably ancient charm, Puyuan embodies the architectural style of the Southern Song Dynasty. The town features a dense network of waterways, retaining the enchanting characteristics of a Jiangnan water town with the coexistence of land and water, riverside streets, and riverside pavilions. The chessboard-like streets, riverside corridors, and well-preserved courtyards create a captivating water town scenery, making it an upgraded version of the Wuzhen scenic area.

After breakfast, you'll have some free time to explore at your leisure. We'll then head to Hangzhou for lunch and spend the afternoon exploring the scenic West Lake area. Highlights of the visit include the Huagang Fish Viewing Garden, a boat tour on West Lake, a walk along the Su Causeway, and a distant view of the Leifeng Pagoda. West Lake is renowned for its stunning beauty and lush vegetation, attracting both domestic and international travelers throughout history. Many famous Chinese poets and scholars have visited this place, leaving behind numerous famous poems and stories. The well-known story of "The Legend of the White Snake" has further added to the fame of West Lake in Hangzhou. We recommend the optional performance show at Songcheng Eternal Love, available at an additional cost of 55 NZD per person. After dinner, we'll check into the hotel.

After breakfast, we'll visit the main venue of the G20 Summit, the Hangzhou International Expo Center. As a key project in Zhejiang Province, this impressive facility covers an area of 840,000 square meters and comprises five main functional areas: exhibition center, conference center, integrated property, rooftop garden (urban lounge), and underground commercial and parking facilities. After lunch, you'll have the opportunity to taste the famous local specialty, Longjing tea. We'll then proceed to Shanghai for dinner. We recommend the optional acrobatics show at an additional cost of 55 NZD per person or a Huangpu River cruise at an additional cost of 45 NZD per person. Afterward, we'll transfer you to the hotel for rest.

Monday 17th June

Enjoy a leisurely morning at the hotel, taking your time to relax and unwind. After lunch, we'll visit the Shanghai Museum, where you can explore the rich cultural heritage of China. We'll then proceed to People's Square, a bustling urban hub in the heart of the city, and have the opportunity to shop along Nanjing Road, one of Shanghai's most famous shopping streets. In the evening, you can stroll around Xintiandi, a trendy area known for its bars and nightlife. Dinner will be at your own expense, allowing you to choose from the various dining options available. You will be transferred to the airport for your flight MU779 (00:10+1-16:15+1) back to Auckland, which departs at 00:10 the next day.
