Depart from Auckland and fly to Guangzhou. After clearing airport formalities, meet your CTS guide and begin your journey through China. Transfer to the railway station and board the high-speed train G2244 (10:07–12:38) to Guilin. Upon arrival, meet your local guide and transfer to the hotel for check-in and a well-deserved rest.

After breakfast, travel back to Guilin to visit the iconic Elephant Trunk Hill — the city's beloved landmark resembling an elephant drinking from the river. Travel to Fenghuang Ancient Town, one of China's best-preserved historic towns, founded during the Kangxi era (1704). Wander among bluestone streets, admire traditional wooden stilt houses along the river, and explore cultural landmarks such as Chaoyang Palace, the Ancient City Museum, and the Former Residences of Shen Congwen and Xiong Xiling. Fenghuang boasts over 68 ancient relics, making it a cultural treasure trove of Southwest China.

Take the high-speed train G1101 (08:19–11:17) to Guangzhou. Upon arrival, enjoy a delicious Cantonese dim sum lunch. Visit Yuexiu Park and admire the Five Rams Statue, the emblem of the city. Explore the historic Guangxiao Temple and admire the striking modern architecture of Huacheng Square. Stroll across Haixin Bridge and through Haixinsha Park, the site of the 2010 Asian Games opening ceremony. Enjoy a farewell roast goose dinner before transferring to Guangzhou Airport for your flight.

  1. A non-refundable deposit of NZD 1,000 per person is required at the time of booking.
  2. The remaining balance must be paid by July 30.
  3. The travel agency is not responsible for risks arising from unforeseen circumstances such as weather, strikes, pandemics, or flight changes. We strongly recommend that travelers purchase travel insurance.
  4. If the tour is canceled due to insufficient group size, a full refund, including the deposit, will be provided. The final confirmation of the tour’s departure will be made by July 15.
